Hello B! Goodbye Tree

On wednesday we welcomed mary beth back from her study abroad adventures in Florence, Italy. It was so good to see her and to get to talk to her face to face. I told Jayden that we were going to see "aunt B" on wednesday when he woke up and all day he said "B" with a question mark in his voice - wondering where she was. We finally got to see her that afternoon at the airport and then all went for a family dinner at Chuy's afterwards. It was a great reunion!
This friday and saturday we had our backyard tree cut down to get the backyard ready for the construction that should start this week. It was bittersweet. Sad to see this beautiful tree go, but exciting because it meant that the construction is about to start. I tried to capture some of what it looked like - but pictures and words can not capture the massiveness of the tree and the huge project that it was to get this tree down.

memorial day

we enjoyed memorial day being together as a family. jordan's parents were in and we went to breakfast at legal grounds and then headed off to the arboretum. it was such a fun, relaxing time together. in the evening we cooked out at magen and ryan's and the kids had fun in the pool. hope you had a good one and enjoyed the start of summer!

robin & jon's wedding weekend

i am a little late on posting these pictures from robin & jon's super fun wedding weekend. we had a blast with a dinner friday night at la duni, brunch on saturday at sangria, and then a wonderful wedding at maple manor. it was so fun to hang out with everyone and celebrate these two wonderful people! i unfortunately didn't get a picture of me with the bride or the bride and groom together. but here are some pics to enjoy!

baseball and other things

jayden loves playing outside. he would stay outside all day long if he could. great when it is nice weather like this weekend, bad when it is hot and humid outside (like it will be this summer). it was good to have jayden back from being in waco all week. of course i did enjoy getting to hold and love on my sweet niece emery. we also celebrated this mother's day with a dinner at Bob's steak house on friday night. it was delicious - and fun to have a nice dinner (although we do love chick fil a!)
i love these pictures of jayden playing baseball. he plays outside with jordan and all of his uncles (and granparents). it is so fun because they all love sports and jayden loves learning from them and trying to do what they teach him.

The week . . .

Here are some pictures from this past week.  I have enjoyed loving on my sweet niece Emery.  On Friday we celebrated my mom's birthday with a fun dinner.  On Sunday Jayden left for a week to go to Waco to spend some time with his grandparents.  I am able to help my sister with sweet Emery - who is SUCH a good baby.  She is already such a good sleeper - which  is so nice for my sister and Blake.
