Emery Kate Marable

Emery Kate Marable was born yesterday, April 27th at 9:27 pm.  She was 8lbs 6oz and 20 inches long!  She is precious and I am so excited to be an aunt for the first time!  Amy and Blake did great (she had to push for over 2 1/2 hours and was such a sport!)  They are adjusting to life as parents and I know that they will be wonderful at bringing Emery up in the way of the Lord.  Here are some pictures from the last couple of days.

Bed Rest or House Arrest

yes.  that is my lot at the moment.  apparently baby ogden #2 thinks he is ready to come out.  he will only be 30 weeks on wednesday.  too early little one.  one of my friends said - maybe he is going to be like his daddy and just ready to get things done!
so what does that mean for a mom of an active 21 month year old?  a lot of help.  thankfully we have the most wonderful family and friends that have been so willing and wonderful in helping out.
we are blessed.  (and i don't say that lightly)  i hope and pray that the Lord teaches me what i am to learn during this season.  one obvious is that we for sure need to slow down a bit.  i am very much the busy body who doesn't spend one entire day at home - usually.  not now.  3 outings a week is what my doctor ordered.  and to be off of my feet as much as possible.
here are some pictures of what has been going on these past few days!
if you have any ideas of fun things to do at home with a little one - please send them my way.  also please pray with us that this little one stays in until 34 weeks and that i don't have to be put in the hospital for "stricter bedrest."
thanks!

easter pics

we got a fun gift for easter that has made it a lot easier for me to capture memories!
we had Sunday church up here and lunch with Jordan's parents and then we headed down to Waco for a visit with my parents.  it was a great time and we were so thankful that we got to spend time with family and friends.

what a week

we have had quite the busy/stressful week.  my dad had emergency 6-bypass surgery last tuesday.  it was a long and exhausting week but thankfully he is home now and doing great.  he is gaining strength each day and i know he will be feeling well before not too long.  i have told him - if he had been functioning with 99% blockage in 3 places and able to run and play tennis - who knows what he will be able to do once he fully recovers!
we are so thankful to God for his peace and provision for our family this past week.  we are also so thankful for the many people who loved, supported, and prayed for us during this difficult time.  thank you to all of you!
if you would like to read about my dad's thoughts from the surgery you can look at his blog.  beware - you can see his "war wounds" in the pictures.

hope you are doing well and enjoying this beautiful spring weather (if it is spring weather where you live :))
